Currently, I am studying a MSc at The University of Glasgow in Media, Culture & Society. Within this I have studied areas within Media such as, contemporary journalism, the use of media in peace processes, and the how British society interacts with social media and how social media can be used for 'good' and 'bad.' Whilst studying here I have also been heavily involved within student theatre, co-directing a 20-minute show in semester on one, Going on to conceptualise and direct a 55-minute show called ‘TeaBag Mountain’ which was devised by the cast and I. I was born and raised in Barnsley, South Yorkshire to two working class parents and lived in Barnsley until moving to Lancashire in 2019. Before moving to Glasgow in 2023, I was residing and studying within Lancaster. I graduated from the University of Lancaster with a 2:1 BA in Theatre, Performance and Production. Whilst at Lancaster I was involved with my College’s JCR executive, winning the position of Men’s+ Welfare Officer, focusing on educating the College body, as well as sex positivity through awareness campaigns. Whilst I did not hold any more positions at Lancaster, I was involved in many successful student election campaigns, being campaign manager for two of these. As campaign manager I was ensuring that my candidate had the right image, from how they appeared on social media to curating their message in order to appeal to the student body. As you can imagine having been heavily involved in student politics I also take a keen interest in contemporary British politics and have been a member of the UK Labour Party in the past. Having worked within customer facing roles since an early age in within positions at high end establishments, fast paced nationwide franchises, late night venues and livery yards, I understand the needs of different people and what level of standard they desire.
