A highly motivated and driven Chartered Engineer, CIBSE Fellow and technical leader with over 30 years’ experience in engineering design, management and construction. Having held senior technical positions within consulting and contracting organisations, I have a broad understanding of the construction process from concept design through to commissioning and operation. My work in national technical roles coupled with my role as Chair of BESA technical committee has given me a deep understanding of many of the more complex and overlooked issues associated with building engineering. In addition, I have contributed to several industry technical guides and publications and co-led various collaborative projects with organisations including BESA, BSRIA, FIS and ASFP. As a result of my experience, I am regularly asked to deliver presentations and speak at conferences on various topics associated with building services engineering best practice.In September 2021, I joined Laing O'Rourke as Technical Leader for specialist functions including Fire, utilities and vertical transportation.
