In the first two years as part of a design & engineering department, we designed our own facilities and built them with an in-house construction department. We worked together with the construction department from conceptual design to construction administration throughout the projects. As the company has changed design & construction strategies, I have evolved into a Design Manager. These experiences include tasks such as, co-authoring the OPR (Owner's Project Requirements) to be issued to the design team, orchestrating design reviews with all department stakeholders in the company, working closely with the design teams (architects, engineers, & contractors) to assure the design of the project meets the OPR, working with pre-construction contractors to assure the project stays within budget and schedule, as well as manage direct contracts with contractors and material vendors.

In my service as a 2010 Census Enumerator, I enjoyed the chance to enhance my skills in working with a wide variety of personalities and to further educate myself about how my government functions on my community's behalf. It is a crash coarse in understanding the role of Dept. of Commerce and in getting even the most difficult personalities to cooperate in their civil duties. I have enjoyed the assignment I was given and the people I worked with. I look forward to take part in the 2020 Census and further serve this country for the better.
