My initial role with Fiducial was in the 10X franchise (business coaching) section of the firm. I was responsible for prospects attending a presentation by the Sales Coach. This consisted of direct mail, cold calling, follow up, event management and booking appointments for the Sales Coach.

As a family we relocated to Redcliffe where I took on the role of new vehicle salesman. In this time I received the Platinum Wings award for Sales results within the Chrysler group and attained top sales person in my category for two consecutive years. I was also consistently one of the top achievers in customer satisfaction (net promoter) and still have customers calling today to see if I can assist them with their vehicle enquiries.

To start out in new vehicle sales I undertook a cadetship with North Jacklins. It consisted of spending time in each department for 2 weeks. This gave me a great insight into how sales impact the whole business and that it is as important to sell internally after the official sale as it is to the initial customer.As I qualified out of cadetship the dealership acquired a new location and I was part of the new launch team.

This was a really tough job…. Getting paid to travel around Australia. Duties included, transportation and set up of the motivational presentation in high schools throughout Australia. Some other associated experiences were trouble shooting the equipment and training inexperienced student and teacher help. Introducing the show at times to over 1,000 students per session, up to six shows per day. We were also required to drive long distances and keeping strict timelines, and maintain weekly and monthly reporting and keep within set expenditure budgets.

My role at Betta Blinds gave me experience in manufacturing and installing a range of interior and exterior window treatments, customer enquiries and working within strict timelines and workloads.

Whilst I was only given a few opportunities as an announcer, this generated my interest in vocal work. I was on air a few times a day performing cruiser crosses and giving away promotional material, generally acquired from local businesses in exchange for a plug. Also involved in liaising with business men and women and the general public and assisting the sales team to maximise their opportunities.
