About Will Self

I am an experienced CEO with deep cross-functional expertise in the financial services and fintech markets, spanning senior commercial, product, marketing, corporate development and operations roles. My formative career was spent with Suffolk Life, growing the business to a multi-billion pound AuM and 300 staff, acquired by L&G, where I continued in senior leadership roles, expanding its proposition and market coverage, and culminating in my role as CEO. In 2019, upon Suffolk Life’s transfer from L&G to Curtis Banks, I directed the integration and rebrand and was subsequently appointed CEO, building an award-winning organisation which achieved strong organic and acquisitive growth. In addition, I am an active Non-Executive Director, currently as Deputy Chair of the FCA’s Small Business Practitioner Panel, Chair of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, and Trustee for the Seckford Foundation. Highlights:→ Sustainable, profitable business growth – delivering shareholder value through ambitious strategies for organic and inorganic growth, underpinned by robust control environments.→ Business Transformation – driving commercial and operational excellence, with deep experience in pivoting organisations into new propositions and markets, and in leading corporate restructures and digitisation. → Organisational Culture - building high-performance, inspired workforces, empowered by clear financial services mission, and fostering a culture of openness, collaboration and inclusion.
