About Will Cooper

Will is an experienced museum and gallery professional skilled in leading teams to develop robust, engaging, and deliverable programmes of exhibitions, acquisitions, and other activities specific to, and enhancing of, their host venue. Creative, yet detail oriented, Will has proven senior level experience managing simultaneous projects to the highest standards, including fundraising, budget and project administration, staff delegation, and artist management. He is an excellent public speaker, can write engagingly for diverse audiences, and has excellent, demonstrable experience bringing seemingly disparate groups into the conversation. During this time Will has curated projects with a range of international artists including Nalini Malani, Alberta Whittle, Steven Claydon, Ryan Gander, Laure Provoust, Aaron Angell, Heather Phillipson, Felicity Hammond, Mick Peter, Graham Fagen and Stansfield // Hooykaas. He has acquired work for museum collections by artists including Charlotte Prodger, Jesse Darling, Walter Price, Victoria Morton, Hal Fischer, and Sharon Hayes. To support this activity Will has successfully raised funds from charitable and grant giving bodies such as Arts Council England, The Ampersand Foundation, Creative Scotland, The Goethe Institute, The Art Fund, The National Fund for Acquisitions and many more. Will has hosted artist in-conversations, spoken on panel discussions, written extensively for catalogues and other media, and sat on juries for a number of awards and prizes.
