The mission of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) is to support Canada’s Search and Rescue (SAR) program and to promote SAR Awareness.CASARA is a national volunteer organization funded by the Department of National Defence. Our volunteers provide air search assistance to the Royal Canadian Air Force, and promote flight safety for general aviation as a means to reduce overall SAR incidents.We are pilots, navigators, spotters, search coordinators, electronic search specialists, radio operators and administration staff. Contracted by Marops Ltd to develop and deliver a practical training course for AIMS-ISR - a Surveillance Software, developed by CarteNav Solutions Inc. in Canada.AIMS-ISR is operated by Air Forces and Navys around the world, including New Zealand, Australia and Canada.The training systems were designed in Auckland, New Zealand and Halifax, Canada then instruction delivered to Royal Canadian Air Force personnel in CFB's Greenwood and Comox, Canada.At the completion of the AIMS Training, I also assisted Marops Ltd with other general duties such as; QA, Training Development and Consulting.

Acoustic Warfare Specialist trained in the operation of;HF/VHF/UHF Radios, Teletypewriter, Radar, Infra-red Camera, Electronic Support Measures, Data Handling Systems, Satellite Communications and Acoustic Warfare Suites on board the RNZAF's P3-K Orion Maritime Patrol Aircraft.Primarily involved in; Maritime Operations, specialising in Maritime Surveillance, Exclusive Economic Zone patrols, Anti-submarine Warfare, Anti-surface Unit Warfare and Search and Rescue (SAR).
