Weathersby II considers himself a philomath for all things Digital Forensics related and therefore loves to engage in new challenges, seek new opportunities to learn, and connect with other like-minded professionals!Having recently transferred from the public sector into the private sector, Mr. Weathersby spent approximately 10 years of his career serving as a law enforcement officer. During his time in law enforcement, he spent nearly half of his tenure as a Patrol Officer and the other half as a Detective & Digital Forensics Examiner. It was during these years that Mr. Weathersby formed the very first Digital Forensics Lab for his department, which ultimately resulted in him becoming a trusted source for digital forensic assistance to over 12 law enforcement agencies across six different counties. Through the years, Mr. Weathersby grew his “Digital Forensic Toolbox” and routinely used industry standard digital forensic tools such as Cellebrite UFED, Magnet AXIOM, GrayKey, Forensic Explorer (FEX), FTK Forensic Toolkit, and Belkasoft X, to name a few. Not after long, his work soon became recognized by members with the United States Secret Service - Cyber Fraud Task Force (CFTF) Houston Field Office. This led to Mr. Weathersby partnering with the CFTF where he subsequently received nominations to attend more than eight digital forensic related trainings at the National Computer Forensic Institute (NCFI) in Hoover, Alabama. Mr. Weathersby’s passion for Digital Forensics initially sprouted circa 2018, upon attending a “Hi-Tec Digital Forensics Investigations” conference for law enforcement. However, Mr. Weathersby had always been intrigued by the world of computer science which is what sparked his desire to pursue programming and network forensic courses during his Criminal Justice undergrad in Fall of 2010. Colleagues know Mr. Weathersby as a professional who can always be trusted to come up with the right approach. He is continually learning about new techniques and remains rigorously “up to speed” with current and next-trend technologies.
