After spending the majority of the previous year setting up a new business trading unit within Aviva as well as developing a new auto-enrolment proposition for small to medium sized employers (SME) I have now taken up the opportunity to take this out in to the market.Its been great working on this from strategic inception, through it's pilot phases, understanding the market and now taking to market.The role is very much auto-enrolment driven with a view to utilising Aviva's wider product range (Life / Health and General Insurance).

Over the last six months I have taken responsibility for three key roles within Workplace.• Proposition owner of Aviva's employee benefits product set• Customer relationship manager for the Aviva staff pension scheme• Governance owner of the product development forumIn this time my workload has focussed on a commercial review of the employee benefits proposition with options and recommendation for the proposition, introducing a change control framework to manage customer requests as well as managing a programme portfolio of change. Developing a robust change view across Workplace to show pipeline, in-flight and delivered proposition developments and a working view of benefit realisation.I am also currently working on the design of the new Workplace strategy for Aviva UK Life based on the recent budget developments, DWP charge cap proposal and life after auto-enrolment.

Now working permanent in Pensions Product Development after securing the role off the graduate scheme. Working on a variety of enhancements to our Pensions propositions whilst also charging back internally for Innovation sessions.

My primary role is based within Operations and focuses on Change Management, at present I am leading fixes on issues that arose from a Pensions Reprice in April, providing technical expertise to progress a major new system development and signing off marketing literature for various departments across the business. In my short time in this role I have delivered three pension re-prices, fund name changes, change day across the department, a skills and knowledge depository and a COOT Change Teamsite. Alongside this I also spotted an opportunity early in 2010 to create a x-functional working group to capitalize on the use of the Aviva World platform (internal intranet). This has consisted of three key areas: Training, Migration and Navigation. A major opportunity has also been spotted off the back of the working group which is being investigated and has the potential to save a six figure sum for the company. Over the past few months I have also trained up a number of people across GI, JV and within Change on the use of Innovation techniques on business problems.
