As CEO for WMB Creative Productions, I am publicist for David Parks. He travels across the country talking about his father's works in schools and for projects named after Gordon Parks. David worked as an assistant to Gordon in the filming of "Shaft," which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021. We are taking positive steps to promote the legendary Gordon Parks, a native of Fort Scott, Kansas, and all that he stood for. Gordon chose a camera as his weapon against all the racism, sexism, bigotry, discrimination and inequalities of the world. Students who are eligible for the program are either low income or first generation status (neither parent has graduated from a four-year university). This pre-college program encourages students to seek post-secondary education in the communication field.
