Eurapco is an Alliance of leading and independent European insurance mutuals. It serves as the preferred platform for knowledge exchange, aiming at being the number one source of practical information for the Partners in order to enable them to leverage pan-European business. Responsible for providing approx. 15.000 employees and their clients in Europe with specialised knowledge in the field of financial services. Eureko/Achmea is a privately-owned financial services group, that operates in 10 European countries; Achmea is its Dutch subsidiary. The Achmea Academy won the NSCU (Dutch Institution for Corporate Universities) Award in 2011.Responsibilities included:- Leading the reorganisation and integration of the current Pension Academy and other European training centres to improve the exchange of knowledge and expertise within Achmea- Redesign of current internal and external training supply in line with market demands and aimed at upgrading professional development of employees and clients- Streamlining, coordination and integration of external training (courses) into the Achmea Academy- Development of an innovative virtual learning structure and e-learning facilities

With an annual turnover of € 1.5 billion and 750 staff, a Board consisting of 5 Board members with a reporting line to the Executive Board of Achmea Holding (total income 2005 of € 16 bln). Responsibilities included:- Management of the company’s sales force and sales staff - Expanding Avéro Achmea’s market share in Life & Non-Life - Strategy development for the distribution channel of the Independent Financial Advisors (IFA’s) (5,000 accounts)- Development of product portfolio and service concepts- Customer relation marketing, brand management and marketing communication

Avéro Achmea is the brand within Achmea that focuses on the intermediary market and works exclusively with independent advisors. I was responsible for the management of the marketing department, product development and sales force. Responsibilities included:- Development and implementation of marketing strategy, marketing communication, relationship marketing, business development and distribution channel management- Management of sales force, including budgetary control and target setting- Development of sales strategy and sales campaigns
