Technical Project ManagerSchio.Org Nov 2021 - PresentSCHIO.org, a community based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is one of the nine founding QHIOs, who in 2023 were responsible for standing up the California Data Exchange Framework (DxF). Two decades prior, in 2006, the predecessor entity of SCHIO, operating at that time as the IT department of a local physician IPA, and known as "Santa Cruz RHIO," was a founding member of the NHIN Collaborative that created the original "NwHIN" interoperability gateway. A few years later the gateway was renamed the eHealth Exchange, which has now grown up to be the network of networks at the heart of clinical data interoperability in the USA. What a long strange trip it has been!
