•Financial Risk Management: Manage key financial risks for businesses across Asia and build strong relationships with internal (business, functions) and external stakeholders (banks, advisors, partners). Risk identification, assessment, quantification and mitigation.•Project Evaluations: Evaluate and develop innovative financing opportunities and address broader business issues, economic modelling advisory, NPV and DCF valuation, risk assessment, sensitivity analysis, FX exposures. •Financing and Structuring: Mainly responsible for the petrochemicals portfolio (total external loan facilities >$3bn) – mainly JVs across Asia. Manage complexities of partner relationships and conflicting priorities. Establish value drivers of corporate and project financing (India); lead negotiations on financing documentation including bankability of commercial arrangements. Lead RMB bond repatriation (and support London debt capital market activities) and other alternative sources of funding. Conduct workshops to develop expertise; roadshows on company policies, standards, frameworks, best practices, risk allocation. Negotiated and closed a number of financings in Asia Pacific - largest financing to date: US$2bn debt refinancing in China in 2007 with extremely competitive terms.•M&A / Corporate Restructuring: Conduct due diligence in partnership with in-house M&A. Peer reviews on organic vs inorganic growth, strategic fit, deal evaluation, deal structuring, manage counterparty risks, manage sensitivities to maximize shareholder value, devise negotiation tactics and trade-offs. Value of deals worked on >US$1bn.•Corporate Finance and Cash & Banking: Ensure proper cash management/forecasting and provide liquidity to BP’s investments across Asia, FX and investment risk, drive cash and dividend flow and ensure businesses are structured in the most optimal manner, impart strong knowledge base in finance, accounting and cash principles to the businesses.
