Helped design and implement Land Use Impact Assessment (LUIA) tool in Cambodia to empower villages who had been displaced as a result of illegal environmental land concessions granted to foreign corporations. Oversaw legal proceedings against Malaysian firm for deforestation and rubber plantation development on protected indigenous lands.Drafted portions of Cambodia’s new Environment and National Resources Code. Collaborated with team as well as both local and international experts to integrate and finalize the Code. Responsible for Titles on Sustainable Forest Management and worked with experts to develop material on REDD+ for future sublegislation. Also responsible for integrating co-management considerations throughout the Code.
