Conservator: Exhibitions And Loans
CurrentAs senior preventive conservator for the exhibitions program, I have responsibility for all temporary exhibitions and displays, as well as outgoing loans, international touring exhibitions and National Partnership galleries. I liaised with my line manager through both face-to-face meetings and MS Outlook, which enabled me to keep abreast of targets and departmental objectives which could change on an hourly basis.• Rated as a Top Performer in recognition of my production being on average 20% above target.• Produced spreadsheets and documents of guidance to assist other members of my team in achieving similar quality results.• Taken part in meetings with Deputy Director of Edinburgh group to discuss the progress of the Evening Teams and to arrange an action plan for tackling any problems that arose.• Chaired problem solving and team meetings, ensuring that all view points are heard and recognised before reaching a decision.

My duties included running the customer services desk, where I was responsible for dealing with the queries and complaints of members of the public. I also assisted with the running of the checkout department, which meant managing large numbers of staff and the cash room responsibilties usually undertaken by management.
