I was first exposed to programming in my senior year of high school, where I learned the basics of Java, how classes and inheritance work, and otherwise learned how to make a computer do what I wanted it to. That year, I found my passion!As an avid gamer growing up, I was immediately enamored by my newfound ability to make little games that I could show off to my friends, or entertain myself with in my free time. I decided to pursue this passion into college, where I was taught C++, deepened my understanding of data structures, and even dabbled in x86 assembly. After two years of taking any and all computer science courses available to me at my local college (Everett Community College and WSU), I decided to forgo transferring to a 4 year university, and opted to enroll in a coding bootcamp so that I could more quickly find myself doing what I love for work! This path led me to find Hack Reactor, where I spent 9 months rigorously learning skills in Javascript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Express, and utilized those skills in an engineering environment to develop web apps with my peers.I am very excited to enter the job market, and look forward to meet all of the wonderful individuals that share my passion for programming and software engineering!
