The Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) was established in 2004 as a private sector-led organisation, to work with the government to steer towards Singapore’s vision to develop Singapore as a premier International Maritime Centre. As the representative voice for corporate leaders in the maritime industry, SMF seeks to forge strong partnerships between the public and private sectors of the maritime industry, spearhead initiatives to develop the diverse clusters of the industry, raise the profile of the industry and maritime professionals, and attract talents to join the maritime workforce. Some of SMF’s key initiatives include the iconic maritime conference and exhibition, Sea Asia, the Singapore Ship Sale Form, Singapore Pavilions at international exhibitions, Singapore Nite@Nor-Shipping amongst others.My main responsibilities:- Sea Asia exhibition and conference organiser- Organiser of Singapore Pavilions and events at international exhibitions Nor-Shipping (Oslo, Norway) and Posidonia (Athens, Greece)- Industry development projects- Industry workgroups facilitator and secretariat- Meetings facilitation- Strategic organisational planning- Organising industry events such as seminars, networking functions, book launch etc.- Singapore Maritime Week Outreach- Student outreach- Data Protection Officer - SMF Board Secretary - General management

I led a team for exhibitions sales and marketing. My team successfully organised building and process system exhibitions in India, Vietnam and Singapore. The exhibitions organised were HVAC Asia 2006, PS Asia 2006, HVACR India 2006 and HVACR Vietnam 2007.

I provided secretariat support for the Automation and Metal, Machinery and Engineering (MME) industry cluster groups for the trade association. I organised Singapore Pavilions for local and overseas exhibitions by leading and getting support from Singapore Companies to participate as a national group at local and overseas trade fairs. I also facilitated and organised seminars, dialogues, and plant visits for my industry development work.
