As Dean of Instruction I provided leadership and direction for all academic programs by conducting academic planning, program development, review, and evaluation; providing training and assisting faculty with acquisition, development, and utilization of instructional resources; overseeing all aspects of distance education (instructional design, policy, LMS, etc); evaluating faculty performance; preparing reports; revising and producing the college catalog; scheduling classes; facilitating articulation agreements; assisting in preparation and management of academic budgets; collaborating on grant writing projects; chairing several committees and serving on others; helping maintain accreditation status; and overseeing faculty advising of students. I represented the college in collaborative distance education efforts with local universities and other tribal colleges.

As the distance education coordinator at LLTC, I was in charge of training faculty and students on how to use the school's learning management system, Jenzabar e-Racer. I also promoted the development of blended and online classes and networked with other tribal colleges doing the same. I taught basic technology courses as well as assisted with grant writing and research. I maintained a distance education newsletter and created "how to" instructions (PDF) for using parts of the LMS. I also created an online orientation course for students, which was made a mandatory part of the required Path to Success course for freshman and for all distance learning students. I wrote the distance education policy manual for the school.As an instructor, I taught ITECH 100 - Computer Applications I, ITECH 150 - Computer applications II, ITECH 210 - Documentary Filmmaking, and CARP 210 - 2D Layout for Shop and Construction
