Wil VanLoh founded Quantum Capital Group (“Quantum” – f/k/a Quantum Energy Partners) in 1998 and serves as the firm's CEO, Chairman of the firm’s Executive Committee and private equity investment committee, and a member of the investment committees for the firm's other products. Mr. VanLoh focuses the majority of his time on overseeing the investment activities of the firm while also being actively engaged in fundraising and talent identification and development. Quantum is one of the largest global energy managers focused on both oil and gas and the energy transition, managing more than $28 billion in capital across its 4 investment platforms: private equity – Quantum Energy Partners; structured capital – Quantum Capital Solutions; senior credit – Quantum Credit Opportunities; and venture capital – Quantum Innovation Fund.Prior to founding Quantum, Wil founded Windrock Capital, an energy investment banking firm specializing in raising private equity for and providing merger, acquisition, and divestiture advice to private energy companies. Early in his career, he worked in the energy investment banking groups of Kidder, Peabody & Co. and NationsBank.Wil resides in Houston, Texas and is deeply committed to charitable efforts through his affiliation and engagement with many charitable organizations. Wil currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Baylor College of Medicine, the Board of Visitors of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Advisory Board of Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy, and is the Chairman of the Investment Committee and Co-Founder of the Kingdom Giving Fund. Wil holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Christian University.
