I teach and supervise students in various courses and projects related to accounting. I was a teacher before I was an academic, having had formal training in didactics and pedagogics. I attained `the 'first-degree' teaching qualification to teach economics and business economics in Dutch secondary education. This also greatly benefits my teaching at Tilburg University, I coordinate the bachelor's thesis in accountancy and several undergraduate courses, develop courses, and won the Excellent Teacher Award multiple times. Next to that, I provide professional education to teachers. In addition to my teaching role, I am also a PhD candidate at Tilburg University, researching nonprofit governance and reporting. I expect to graduate in 24/25. My goal is to advance our knowledge of nonprofit governance practices and their implications.
