WIM DRESENS began as stage manager for "Wait Until Dark" his first professional production. As chief lighting technician/designer many other productions followed including: "Hair", "What A Planet", "Promises Promises", and "Swingpop"Beginning in 1974 he became lighting technician / designer of The Royal Theatre Carre in Amsterdam. After a long period of enlightenment he moved on to the sales and rental company Flashlight Utrecht the Netherlands.Here he became in contact with international artists such as "The Temptations", "Lou Reed", "Randy Newman"This was also the start of designing for many trade- and fashion shows.From 1978 onwards he became the Set- and Lighting Designer for the "Paul Van Vliet" one-man shows. Beginning 1984 Wim is as a self standing Lighting Designer and designed over the 250 productions such as: "Godspell", "Bubbling Brown Sugar", "Oklahoma", "You're The Top", "The Caretaker", "The Mousetrap", "Pelleas And Melisande", Aida", "Rigoletto" The National Swiss Circus KNIE, "The World Christmas Circus" Carre, Amsterdam, since 1995 "Weltweihnachtscircus Stuttgart" since 2018, "The Carpenters", "African Mama's", Musical "SnowWhite", "The World Goes 'Round", "The Diary of Anne Frank", "Life is a Cabaret", "Midlife", Musical "Klaas Vaak", "Pinokkio", "Caro" ,"The British Pop Invasion" "Simon & Garfunkel" "Elvis", "CCR USA" and many more tribute shows..................
