I have a Masters degree in English and Creative Writing with an emphasis in fiction. I also have an MBA, w/a concentration in Human Resource Management. My Bachelor's degree is in Social Work.Currently my work has lent towards a women's literature biography which I recount, "20 Memories I Could Live Without." The book features titled chapters such as: "Tickle and Goodbye"; "The Wire Hanger"; "The Last Time I Screamed"; and "He's Dead." 20 Memories has pulled out parts of me from ages 3 through 52. I'm in the final edit phase and hope to find a publisher that is sensitive to sexual/emotional/physical abuse. I know you're out there.My first book published a few years ago, pre-covid, is #1 of a Sci-fi trilogy called, "The Sleeping State." The second and third ones have been on the back burner due to 20 Memories. I'm sure to get them done soon.As for my Social Work experience, I was a Case Manager in a day treatment program in a classroom setting working with DD/MI clientele suffering with behavioral issues. I was able to blend my own style into the classroom, taking it upon myself to teach elementary German and Empathy Skill Awareness to enhance the education and emotional well-being of the clients I served. I then transferred to work as a Supervisor at a Group Home within the umbrella company. And, finally, a Coordinator of many group homes. With a team of 2 others, I was able help reorganize the 8 group homes involved in every aspect. My biggest accomplishment, I think, was to write quite over 100 treatment plans that worked on basic living skills to behavior problem modification in a positive way. The jobs were rewarding, both in Wisconsin and Arizona, but I will not be working in that arena again. Writing is my passion now.~Windy Lynn Warren
