The scope includes: • Provide technical expertise, coordination and supervision of all malaria activities and ensure maximum integration; Ensure Jhpiego scope of work are carried out to the fullest.• Provide necessary support to ensure the successful implementation of project activities including work planning, budgeting, reconciliation of finances and reporting. • Ensure successful transference of mentoring and service delivery to MOH by supporting leadership, direction, coordination and decision making. • Stakeholders and partners management.• Assist in development of work plans, liaising with MOH staff and donors regarding implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs.• Analyze reports and data received from field sites including financial reports.• Travel as appropriate to program site to assist in execution of program.Key Achievement•Reduction in malaria burden, with confirmed cases over suspected, reduced from 113.7% in 2018(before the project started) to 38.9% in 2020(2 years into activity implementation) and the prevalence at 3,6%(KMIS)- by 2022• Reduction in over treatment from 150% in 2018, to 108% in 2022• Increase in testing rate from 32.3% in 2018, to 95% in Dec 2022• Severe malaria capacity building through training and post training follow ups reducing mortality rate to around 10% in HCTRH 2019/2020 financial year.• Capacity building of HCWs in lower facilities through training and post training mentorships, reduced the severe malaria burden in admitting facilities, with average admission at 10% to 13% of total admissions in HCTRH, and less than 10% in sub-county hospitals as of Dec, 2022• Total HCWs facility training coverage is more than 90% in the Supported sub-counties of activity implementation, Dec 2022 Show less
