Dr. Jason Wingard is a globally renowned executive, with deep experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, specializing in the future of learning and work. He currently serves as Distinguished Visiting Professor at Harvard University. He is also Executive Chairman of the Education Board, Inc and Senior Advisor at Social Finance. He recently served as the 12th President of Temple University and Professor of Management and Policy, Organizational, and Leadership Studies. Dr. Wingard previously served as Dean of the School of Professional Studies and Professor of Human Capital Management at Columbia University. Prior to Columbia, he was Managing Director and Chief Learning Officer at Goldman Sachs.Previous to Goldman Sachs, he served as Vice Dean of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He also served as President & CEO of the ePals Foundation, and Senior Vice President of ePals, Inc. Prior to joining ePals, Dr. Wingard was Executive Director of the Stanford Educational Leadership Institute, at Stanford University. He has also served in a variety of cross-functional executive and consulting roles for organizations including the Aspen Institute, the Vanguard Group, and Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI). As a thought leader, Dr. Wingard has published widely on the topic of strategy, learning, and leadership, including his two most recent books: The College Devaluation Crisis: Market Disruption, Diminishing ROI, and an Alternative Future of Learning (2022); and The Great Skills Gap: Optimizing Talent for the Future of Work (2021). He is a Senior Contributor for Forbes, where he writes about Leadership Strategy, and also represented by BigSpeak and Chartwell speaker's bureaus.Dr. Wingard currently serves as a Board Director for Kroll, and Advanced Materials Technology.As a public servant, he currently serves on the Boards of Directors for JUST Capital, Roundabout Theater Company, Fulbright Canada, and the Education Board Foundation. Previously, he served on the Boards of Tides, United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia, Building 21, Touchstone Education, Philadelphia Futures, and the National Center for Fathering.Dr. Wingard holds a BA in Sociology, with honors, from Stanford University (varsity football and track). He also holds a MA in Education from Emory University, a EdM in Technology in Education from Harvard University, and a PhD in Education, Culture, and Society from the University of Pennsylvania.
