Wing believes in using technology to improve the way we live, learn, and play. As CEO of YTL Communications in Malaysia, Wing leads the company in the creation of the world's 1st nationwide converged 4G network. Launched in Nov 2010, the Yes 4G network is the largest 4G network in SE Asia. It has since been named "World's Best New Service" at the Broadband World Forum in Paris and YTL Communications has been named "The Most Innovative Service Provider of the Year" by Frost and Sullivan.YTLC also recently became the first operator in Malaysia to launch 5G. Before joining YTL, Wing led product development efforts at Clearwire and XOHM, Sprint's WiMAX business unit, having played a key role in launching the first large-scale Mobile WiMAX network in the world.Wing also headed technology innovation at Sprint where his team created numerous industry firsts: mobile advertising platform, mobile payment, adaptive content delivery, and behavioral analytics framework.Prior to that, Wing led the Enterprise Architecture function at Sprint's Wireless Division where he served as the technology leader, across divisions, in all aspects of architecture and system engineering in the launch of the first nationwide high-speed wireless network in the US.Wing also had the overall engineering leadership of mission-critical middleware systems for Sprint's nationwide optical fiber network.Wing has 33 US Patents plus Singaporean and Korean Patents.He is also the unique holder of Sprint's highest honor in technology leadership as well as Sprint's top recognition in management excellence.
