Successfully worked with Canadian Birkie on their marketing team to created themed, branded event material for their unique ski race each year. Includes wordmarks, poster, online and print advertising, product design and signage.

Contracted to fulfil graphic design projects on an as-needed basis when the design department has a full schedule, staff go on vacation etc.

My personal design consultancy has served such clients as Alberta Cancer Board, CASA, Strathcona County, Concept Homes, Birkebeiner and Your Holistic Earth. During the past 8 years I have also been contracted with Landmark Group and Burke Group for design & project management services.As a consultant with Landmark Group, I was responsible for creating a consistent brand and maintaining a library of print on demand marketing collateral for their sales force, creating advertising material, point-of-sale material within show homes and outdoor signage. This was across five different sales divisions within Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary. With Burke Group, I have had both ongoing freelance and a contract maternity leave, in-house position. Work with Burke has run the full gamut of print including magazine production, signage and more. It was an excellent way to refresh my production skills in a pure print environment and gain a greater understanding of direct mail. I designed successful direct mail packages for both Covenant Foundation and the Alberta Motor Association, and worked on commemorative banner artwork for Edmonton Police Service.

Successfully rebranded this holistic health company. Provided graphic design for events, publications including books on Amazon. Designed campaigns for social media and print, graphics for events including a yearly awards show and conferences.

Starting as a contract consultant, I soon became a permanent member of the Professional Services team in 2004. While engaged I worked on many projects — some highlights include designing the external website for the Alberta Cancer Board and updating an early version of their intranet site ACBnet. I also trained various staff across Alberta on the use of ACBnet and its content management system. I was also engaged as a consultant to manage Alberta Education's brand and print design, and trained staff in multiple departments on brand and logo usage in addition to providing design and technical support. I worked on other projects with Alberta Finance, Co-op Taxi, Kids Cottage and AADAC. Internally, I assisted MTS Allstream with regional advertising and marketing materials, and designed internal communication material such as presentations, newsletters and an internal magazine, as well as designing the interface for the corporate website.

As a designer and art director, I worked on wide variety of campaigns, advertising and marketing materials for such clients as Intuit, Metalsmiths, Alberta Economic Development and ATCO. I also served as project manager for online media and directed production artists and vendors. I received recognition for such projects as the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome PSA for both print design and tv spot “Baby Bottles” and “Six Pack”.

Successfully worked with a variety of clients and projects including traditional print and advertising, web design, multimedia presentations. I project managed other designers and programmers. I worked on various projects including work for LFWA Canadian Armed Forces, Edmonton Space and Science Centre, The Edmonton Public Library, The United Way, NAIT and the Edmonton Oilers.

As a graphic designer, I was responsible for managing a wide variety of print projects from design through to production. I additionally managed junior production designers and billings over several years. I gained a clear understanding of the print industry and managing timelines and budgets with work for clients such as NAIT, the Edmonton Oilers, Capital City Savings and Occupational Health & Safety.
