Services in this portfolio includes Penn’s efforts to implement Kuali OLE, efforts to maintain and enhance portions of GOKb, implementation of Expertise@Penn that combines VIVO’s researcher networking and Symplectic Elements profile data aggregation and management, and deployment of data management planning using DMPTool. Additional responsibilities for this position are to engage deeply in the collaborative communities that nourish and develop shared investment and direction in software, data, and human capital. Beyond simply representing Penn’s interests, this effort includes providing technical and functional leadership, and participate in planning driven by strategic community goals and vision. Represent and advocate the value of these communities to the wider higher education domain through presentations, publications, and direct engagement with potential collaborators and partners. Contribute to the governance and sustainability of these communities including significant contributions in grant writing, strategic planning, and technical architecture.
