On a project basis, I continued the research on the topic of my thesis: societal implications of genome editing technologies. My tasks were to:• Organize a workshop based on the findings of my thesis for 20 experts in the field. • Prepare my thesis for a publication.• Assist in a research project on the societal implications of genome editing in developing countries.

With a team of four we participated in a 10-week Student Startup Validation Program initiated by UtrechtInc. We developed an idea for a temporary, sustainable, outside meeting place in neighborhoods with little green: a "Room For Living". By designing a pop-up meeting place for, and with, the residents we can spark a transformation towards a long-lasting greener, more social and future-proof neighborhood. I participated in workshops, personal coaching sessions and network sessions to learn how to validate our idea, develop a business model, and pitch this to others.
