Winnie Chen has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and General Manager of Commercial Clients in Visual China Group (VCG), a top visual content provider in China, since 2017. She represented VCG to actively participate in leading Industry Associations and most prestige Marketing Summit Award events. Prior to her current position, Winnie dedicated 17 years in IBM Greater China Group (GCG) managing sales, product and marketing teams. In Jan, 2014, Winnie was named as Executive of GCG x86 & Pure Systems, STG Marketing & Strategy in IBM. After that, she joined Lenovo China, leading the team to transform IBM x86 products into “Global Local” brand. Before that, she has been appointed as Head of GCG Data Management from 2012. In 2013, she successfully led the team by gaining 2.5% share in China. It was a significant turned around for IBM DB2 taking share from major competitors in China. In 2010, Winnie was assigned as Head of GCG SWG Midmarket. Under her leadership, she built a powerful ecosystem to acquire +10% of new customers. As a result, Winnie achieved nearly 50% yty growth in 7 consecutive quarters and gained 1.5% share. In 2006, she was appointed as Head of GCG Inside Software Sales in ibm.com. During the 3 consecutive years, she enlarged small transactions by 3 times and drive GCG SWG renewal rate by 5 times through her leadership competence and market insights. She started her management career in ibm.com as Software Telesales Manager in IBM Taiwan from Jan 2003. Under her leadership, the team won the IBM One Team Award. Before joining ibm.com, Winnie worked with Software Group (SWG) for 5 years. From 1998 to 2001, she received 3 One Hundred Club Awards for her outstanding performance in both marketing and sales roles. As a promising leader, Winnie was named as administrative assistant to Jason Hsu, GM of IBM Taiwan in 2002. She worked with Jason to develop a new Management System for IBM Taiwan.
