I am one of a cohort of 30 students fully funded by the RSC (Royal Society of Chemistry) through the SME enterprise scheme and have presented at Burlington House for the RSC.• Contributed to new product formulation, resulting to being named on a patent application (WO/2018/109493)• Worked on an individual project: Development of a method to predict the shelf life of a silicone putty• Planned and calculated for formulation changes and small-scale development experiments• Validated and implemented testing methods to be compliant with ASTM specifications• Planned and executed routine quality tests (Tensile testing, Shore A Hardness, Plasticity)• Interpreted and presented data (using Microsoft Office) to the department on a weekly basis• Took succinct minutes of fast-paced technical meetings to help ensure necessary deadlines were completed• Identified and sourced new raw materials as well as cost reduction activities by finding cheaper alternatives
