Manage a team of 9 that comprises of 3 units: Configurations, Data Quality, and Reporting. The Configurations team is primarily responsible for updates to the Homeless Management Information Systems along with updating various features. The Data Quality team reviews HUD Data Quality reports for all of our projects and assists providers with technical assistance. The Reporting unit runs all reports using Query Designer from our HMIS system and utilizes Tableau to create data dashboards.

Directly manage large-scale data for citywide spend cube to optimize spend, analyze cost savings, reviewing over $15.6B of citywide spend among 37 mayoral agencies from structured/semi-structured data. Lead data and requirements gathering for all forward facing agency reports, tracking $2M budget balances on multiple cross-functional projects, and developing strong relationships with inter-agency stakeholders.

Supervised a team of 9 staff members consisting of Project Managers and Business Analysts encouraged them to work collaboratively and effectively to set departmental goals and ensure they were aligned with agency initiatives. Observed over 90 front line staff to develop process guides and client road maps, documented current and future state workflow designs, and defined Scope of Work for Quality Assurance tools.

Acted as a liaison between over 120 business users and software developers on various strategic projects such as the Self-Service Portal, allowing clients and residents to complete all their applications online. Developed Project Charters and Project Plans, business process redesign workflows for current and future state, identified key deliverables, milestones and interdependencies; risk analysis and mitigation, contingency planning and status reporting.

Managed a team of 3 to define issues, collect data, establish performance metrics, and create custom reports to track success. Maintained setups in Yardi’s VisualHOMES system for Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing, and Tax Credit programs. Worked closely with the case managers to train and coach each team member on methods to submitting complete and correct annual recertifications, interim changes, moves, new contracts, rental increases and terminations.

Managed a Housing Choice Voucher department of 5,000 tenant-based clients out of a total of 17,000 tenants spread evenly across ten case managers, one Assistant Administrator and an Administrative Assistant.

Worked closely with the case managers to train and coach each team member on methods to submitting complete and correct annual recertifications, interim changes, moves, new contracts, and rental increases.

Audited files for the Section Eight Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) that measures the performance of Public Housing Authorities that administer the Housing Choice Voucher program.

Conducted full case management: interviewed clients for their annual recertifications, completed interims, assisted clients with moves, and submitted terminations for a caseload of approximately 500 tenants.

Managed the waiting list for applicants on the program, met with clients to determine eligibility, and conducted mass briefings and issued over 300 Disaster Housing Assistance Program (DHAP) Vouchers to victims of Hurricanes Katrina.
