Industrial Specialist
CurrentMy Industrial Specialist functions/responsibilities as outline in the FAR/DFARS is,I perform RISK Assessment on Defense Contractors Programs. I assest,evaluate and rate Defense Contractors on their on-time delivery/performance, cost/price and quality. I am responsible for (1)-Risk Planning, (2)-Contract Review, Schedules, State of Work, (3)-in-plant Surveillance, require visit within 30 days of pacing event to be monitored. Utilizing Contractor's production plans or milestones as part of the plan for surveillance, working from start to finish. I also document plant visit and surveillance and identify and address potential problems well ahead of contractual due dates, potential or actual delays will be reported via E-mail to customers as early as practicable (4)-Charting Progress, I provide the SPI or PI with a chart indicating the following:Production (LRIP) units required, Production units shipped and balance due, this chart is update daily/monthly to reflect deliveries or lack of deliveries. (5)- Attend Program,Design,Manufacturing,Monthly, daily meeting. Risk Planning is done as required by DFARS 242.1104, Production Surveillance and Reporting. (6)-Contract receipt and review is performed and form 1716 utilized when errors are found.
