In July, 2008 Winston founded Evans Consulting, Inc., offering freelance Sales & Marketing consultancy services to the luxury liquor industry. In this capacity, he has represented a number of renowned brands. What follows is an overview of the highlights of his varied and interesting career.Winston spent three extremely successful years as Midwest Brand Ambassador for The Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch before being appointed to the same role on the West Coast and co-hosting the brand’s highly-acclaimed, "Nights of Passage" promotional tour of key US markets. The opportunity to branch into management presented itself next, which allowed him to assume the role as Midwest Brand Manager for International Beverage Company (IBC), an importer of luxury spirits, including such brands as Kelt Cognac, Westerhall Rum (Grenada), Burn Stewart Distillers’ award-winning Bunnahabhain (Islay) Single Malt Scotch and the renowned ‘Heart of Islay’ blend, Black Bottle. He was then proud to be able to contribute to the continued success of one of the leading lights of the burgeoning Craft Distillers movement, as Brand Manager & Distiller for FEW Spirits in Evanston, IL. He was particularly gratified by the accolade - Craft Whiskey of the Year, 2014 - bestowed on FEW Rye by Whisky Advocate Magazine. Finally, he served as Regional Brand Manager for The Lost Distillery Company, a unique and innovative supplier of deluxe, blended malt Scotch whisky.In 2016, Winston took a position as Project Manager for a privately owned General Contractor in Lake County, IL, which fulfills property preservation and remediation service contracts for national property management companies throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.
