    I worked in the Human Behavioral Pharmacology Laboratory (HBPL) under Dr. Harriet de Wit. The HBPL investigates the determinants and the consequences of drug and alcohol use by measuring physiological, behavioral and subjective effects of acute doses of psychoactive drugs in human volunteers. I screened potential participants by evaluating eligibility via in-person structured interviews. I administered the SCID-RV and the HBPL Health Questionnaire to identify and screen out people who may have mental health conditions, medical conditions, or abuse/depend on drugs/alcohol. I often consulted and provided clinical opinions with Dr. de Wit, physical evaluators, and postdoctoral researchers to determine if volunteers are appropriate for inclusion.
