All externs receive at least one hour of individual supervision by a licensed clinical psychologist. The HBPL investigates the determinants and the consequences of drug and alcohol use by measuring physiological, behavioral and subjective effects of acute doses of psychoactive drugs in human volunteers. I screened potential participants by evaluating eligibility via in-person structured interviews. I administered the SCID-RV and the HBPL Health Questionnaire to identify and screen out people who may have mental health conditions, medical conditions, or abuse/depend on drugs/alcohol. I often consulted and provided clinical opinions with Dr. de Wit, physical evaluators, and postdoctoral researchers to determine if volunteers are appropriate for inclusion. -

While in treatment, teens will participate in a regular schedule of experiential therapy, group therapy, individual therapy and personal wellness education. Family education and family therapy also play key roles in your teen’s comprehensive care. I lead groups in CBT topics, DBT, and mindfulness as well as carry a small individual caseload. I also rotate to Adult PHP and IOP programs for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and OCD.
