Was responsible for company licensing and permitting activities at active mining operations and future development projects. Position was accountable management of Safety Health & Environment (SH&E) Management System including the health and safety of the workforce and compliance with all company SH&E policies and regulatory requirements and obligations.• Directed company SH&E program including incident reporting, accident investigations (root cause analysis), training and development of corrective action plans. The company program management resulted in four consecutive years of continual reduction of recordable incident rates.• Worked with Uranium One Inc., corporate audit program team to conduct and implement site audits in US and assist with audits in Australia and Kazakhstan, implemented corrective action/improvement plans.• Successfully developed, negotiated and secured Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and State of Wyoming licenses and permits for In-situ uranium recovery (ISR) operations which included the first new ISR license issued by the NRC in over 30 years.• Selected, negotiated contract terms and directed work activities for multiple independent contractors in support of licensing and permitting applications in a wide range of resource disciplines. • Responsible to the development, approval and management of budgets for company health, safety and environmental programs in excess of two million dollars annually.• Served as primary contact and liaison with all federal, state, tribal and county governmental agencies.
