I am an investment professional analyzing global investment opportunities for a family office, and a serial entrepreneur who started and operated several startups in different industries. Some successful, some not so successful. From each I have learned and grown, and I found it was during times of adversity where I grew and learned the most. In addition to my investment work, I also own and manage a growing spirits import, distribution and brand strategy business. Background: American Taiwanese raised in the Midwest. Moved to NYC to experience the most dynamic city in the US and started a career in finance. Grew jaded with banking life, quit my job and moved to Taipei to fulfill my dream of learning Chinese. Jumped into the hospitality and entertainment industry, starting and operating some of Taipei's most iconic brands and experiences that lasted for years. COVID was a challenge, which lead to the closure of most the businesses. Got out of my comfort zone with my first tech (enabled) startup. Learned more than a MBA program, but ultimately had to shut it down.
