E teti, which translates to "listen" is a call to action for people to pause and listen and pay attention to how fast the Earth is dying, and we create content in local languages to spread awareness about environmental degradation and inspire indigenous communities to take climate action.By using the powerful metaphor of "listen" from an indigenous language, it compellingly urges people to become more attentive to the decline of the planet's health. Creating multimedia stories, videos, artwork and other content in local indigenous languages makes this critical message more accessible and culturally-relevant.The core idea is to leverage the rich storytelling traditions and linguistic diversity of indigenous peoples themselves to drive home the urgency of the climate crisis. Amplifying indigenous voices and wisdom in their own languages can be a profound way to cut through apathy and move people to respect and protect the Earth.
