Over ten years of effective curriculum/instruction and educational leadership experience primarily with the district’s low performing schools. Served in the capacity as an English Language Arts/Reading teacher (Senior High), Instructional Literacy Coach (Middle Grades), Curriculum Support Specialist (Elementary/Primary Grades) and most recent, Assistant Principal (Elementary/Primary Grades). Established goals based on data and data trends, developed action plans and monitored students’ progress by utilizing ongoing progress monitoring tools in order to ensure students made adequate progress. Additionally, while serving as a member of the leadership team, my contributions led to an increase in student achievement and an overall increase in two school’s overall letter grades as indicated by the State of Florida. Currently, assisting the School Principal with day-to-day operations, instructional decisions that addresses the need of students and serving as one of the main instructional leaders in the building. Effectively fostering a positive and impactful school culture that is conducive for teaching and learning. Soft and hard skills acquired and consistently implemented as a result of previous and current job experience.
