Focused on any task at hand and able to utilize existing field knowledge and experiences to come up with practical solutions and alternatives to get the work done.I am an Interpretation Development (ID) Petrophysicist with Schlumberger. This highly enjoyable job involves understanding the log interpretation challenges in the area where I work and finding ways to overcome them.I also interpret personally, or at least peer review, all Schlumberger wire line logs where new technology has been used. This is to help our customers fully understand and properly utilize these data and hopefully continue to use it. Over the years I have been lucky enough to gain lot of insight into the best ways to approach different reservoirs and logging environments in much of South East Asia and have particular expertise in solving some of the more difficult interpretation challenges, such as laminated reservoirs with fresh water and igneous reservoirs.I am currently working on an ID project to bring faces described by geologists and flow units required by reservoir engineers closer together using NMR data. Other areas where I have successfully brought solutions to difficult environments include fractured granite in Vietnam, volcanic reservoirs in Ireland and cased-hole formation re evaluation in brown fields in China and Ireland.
