I’ve spent 20 years focused on the design and delivery of products and assembling the teams that build them. What I’ve learned from 115+ products is how to craft lean, user-centric products while collaborating at scale. I’m a storyteller; I use compelling narratives to entice outsiders and captivate stakeholders, but my best partnerships are earned. I have led the creation of multiple design systems, most notably the evolution from Pixel to the comprehensive Genesis design ecosystem at AAA Insurance. My expertise extends beyond design aesthetics to encompass technical skills like front-end development, enabling me to bridge the gap between design and engineering. I am a passionate advocate for user-centric design, continuously seeking to improve user experiences through extensive research and a focus on accessibility. As we tackle problems, what works and what doesn’t is remembered and made accessible to the entire organization through a wisdom-enriched ecosystem: a suite of shared products, like UI libraries, token dictionaries, content stores, and formatting modules.𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲Our customers' digital experiences are vitally important, constantly requiring refinement and updates. To manage and reduce associated costs, I focus on enhancing an ecosystem's UI inventory to be capable through configuration. This [configuration-first strategy] streamlines workflows, reducing reliance on external processes such as traditional UX/UI design. As a result, anyone can become a creator, able to get developed UIs within days of submitting sketched wires. This accelerated process allows creators more time for experimentation, research, and building confidence in what’s delivered to customers.
