I work for the biggest Polish bank as a Product Owner of a blockchain team (0,8 FTE) but I also develop my own startup PayD.Long story long - below 👇enjoy 😊@PKO Bank PolskiSinice 2018, I have been proactively working on the development of PKO Bank Polski blockchain initiatives and projects. Together with my colleagues from the Let's Fintech program, we managed to split blockchain from the general innovation structures of the bank and start a separate interdisciplinary team.Within the blockchain team, we have successfully completed 3 comprehensive projects. Those projects resulted in savings of over 50 million PLN for the bank and a new recurring source of income, which exceeds several times the costs of our blockchain team. From projects focused on solving legal problems, slowly but consecutively as an organization we are moving towards tokenization of assets and cooperation (or coopetition) in the peer-to-peer model.We learn how to switch from projects developed only internally to open source. We have adopted a strategy of open cooperation with various types of market players (other banks, technology companies, startups, law firms and independent experts) and public institutions.The effects of our standardization work are promoted by KPRM:https://www.gov.pl/web/cyfryzacja/sira@ PayDFor many years I have been conducting private R&D activities in various projects and initiatives (publications, organization events, workshops, hackathons etc.) In 2020 I formalized a cooperation on one of the projects - PayD. At PayD, on the basis of innovative cryptographic solutions, we are developing an open e-receipt distribution system. The area of e-receipt is particularly interesting for me, because it has not been filled with system solutions so far, so it has great potential to take advantage of the latest technology available.As part of PayD's R&D work, we have developed a system that, with full respect for the customer's privacy and the merchants' business strategies, unlocks the potential of purchase data. The system also makes it quick, easy and intuitive for customers and businesses to convert paper receipts to digital, but the primary goal of our efforts is to unlock the full potential of receipt data.
