Part-time consulting CTO during pre-funded phase of company. Responsible for defining the logical technology stack to support the business needs of data pipelines, data management, profiling, analytics and security.

As manager of Solution Engineering, I manage 4 geographically distributed teams consisting of 4 Team Leads and 40 engineers. These teams are responsible for implementation of RPA workflows for Olive's top 9 customers. During my time at Olive, our entire team has been working in a completely remote situation due to COVID and experiencing rapid growth. I leverage my 20+ years of engineering experience to inform improvements to the Agile software development processes, including partnering with multiple customer-facing teams to aide in their Agile education as they rely on a predominantly waterfall process.

Paxata was acquired by DataRobot in December 2019. Post acquisition, I continued management of engineering staff, management of Connector and Library feature areas and software development.I departed in a reduction in force due to the COVID-19 economic down turn.

At Paxata's Columbus office, I serve in several roles: General Manager, IT Director and Senior Software Engineer. As general manager, I perform all activities needed to locate and operate the office facility as well as to manage staffing. As Director, I get the opportunity to work with Sales, Product Management team as well as our VPs and CTO to align our team's endeavors with the product roadmap and market forces to expand the capabilities of our product. Finally, as senior software engineer, I get to design and develop software that leverages cutting edge technologies to enable data preparation at scale! The Columbus team focuses on the Paxata Data Library. This software serves three primary purposes 1) as the interface to the external data sources from which we import client data sets, 2) as Paxata's internal data storage repository leveraging horizontally scalable storage and 3) as the interface to internal and external data sources to which we publish prepared data sets. Paxata was acquired by DataRobot in December 2019.

As CTO, I lead the development and commercialization efforts for 4 products licensed from my team's previous work at The Department of Biomedical Informatics: TRIAD, OpenMDR, N-Vision and TRITON as Accelematics™. This work includes architectural oversight, technology selection and ownership of the software development roadmap.

As Director of Software Engineering I oversee a team of software engineers and biomedical informatics projects. I serve as a member of the Dept. of Biomedical Informatics Administrative Leadership Team, which manages the integration of IRD with the department research labs and sets the strategy for the IRD team. I also serve on the IT Executive Committee where, along with other IT Directors, I review and present high-level activities to our medical Center CIO.I serve as Technical Lead and Project Manager on the Triton application. Triton is a multi-site clinical research application. This application provides user and site management, clinical protocol authoring, participant enrollment, patient study calendar, protocol execution and biospecimen management. Our first deployment is for the Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Research Consortium (CRC). I serve as Product Owner for the SAFTINet project with the University of Colorado, Denver. IRD is providing a virtual appliance and query portal that allow a network of collaborative sites to securely share distributed data for the purposes of determining quality of care for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) I provide directorial oversite of the RISE project for the American College of Rheumatology. IRD is providing a virtual appliance and query portal that allow a network of collaborative sites to securely share distributed data for the purposes of determining quality of care. This network is expected to eventually include 200-300 sites.

Senior Developer in the Enterprise Customer Information File Team. This team uses WebSphere Customer Care to server as the system of record for customer information across Nationwide's product lines in an SOA framework. Development is performed in Java/J2EE using DB2. Customer information is served to multiple front-end applications via Web Services.Technical lead on upgrade from IBM WCC 6.0 to IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management 8.0 (aka WCC 8).

Content Management for AOL Music (http://music.aol.com) and music components for AOL Search (http://search.aol.com). Perform ETL of music data into AOL systems and between AOL systems.

AOL Service Management Organization. Designed and developed solutions for customer identity verification, broadband qualification, broadband ordering and premium product ordering under BEA WebLogic.

AOL DSL Ordering system. Designed and developed software to process DSL orders for AOL customers for multiple DSL providers. Performed ETL of DSL bulk qualification data.

Designed, developed and maintained an extensible monitoring framework. This framework executed test of nearly all available CompuServe supported systems and protocols (proprietary, HTTP, FTP, DNS, IMAP, SMTP, POP). Monitoring data was used to created daily performance and availability reports.
