Wit performs a full range of program management functions for Sound Transit's first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Program, also known as STRIDE, which consists of 3 service lines over 46 miles routes, 23 stations; serving 12 cities. He leads the program's business division; manages the program-wide General Engineering Consultant contract, as well as the development and implementation of integrated program management and control in support of the design and construction of the program. Wit serves as strategic technical advisor to the Program Executive related to program-wide performance to achieve on-time and on-budget delivery.

Wit returned to work for Sound Transit (ST), Link Light Rail Program, in October 2006 as a Project Controls Specialist. Since then, he has been promoted into a Senior-level Specialist (2009), a Supervisor (2012) and now as a Manager (2017) overseeing all Project Control functions of the Central Corridor. Over this period of time, Wit was awarded Exceptional and Excellent (highest possible) annual performance ratings multiple times. He is also an alumnus of the ST Management Excellence Program (MEP) and EnoMAX.As a manager, Wit provides direct oversight, coaching, training and performance feedback to direct-report staff and consultant teams. He also serves as a leader of multiple cross-functional teams, as well as a Project Management technical resource. Wit ensures that proper and comprehensive systems for management and delivery of scope, schedule, costs and risks are implemented across the projects portfolio. He ensures that policies and procedures are applied effectively. Wit oversees multiple concurrent contracts, directs consultant/vendor/contractor activities, prepares contract documents, and evaluates proposals. He provides input and guidance to senior management in support of their decision-making. He develops and provides written and visual presentation materials for presentations to various internal and external stakeholders. Wit also assisted the project team in the development and negotiation of inter-local agreements, and regularly coordinated work with inter-agency work teams that included staff from WSDOT, City of Seattle, and other jurisdictions.Wit’s other accomplishments during his tenure at ST included helping ST secure $1.3 billion in TIFIA federal funding for the East Link Extension, and $1.9 billion FFGA for the University Link Extension project. Wit led the Project Baseline efforts for East Link and University Link Extension projects, the latter of which opened for revenue service a year ahead of schedule and $200 million under budget.

Assist the Wildlife Facility Caretaker in a variety of general construction, maintenance, and landscaping projects.

Wit worked as a consultant on various Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects. Clients included BP, Innovene and Bayer.Wit served British Petroleum (BP) as a Project Management Consultant during the planning stage of a five-year $3 billion Canadian Extra Heavy Oil program. He co-authored Project Controls Policies and Procedures for the program; developed cost and schedule work breakdown structures (WBS), and supported the development of the overall program CPM schedule using P5 and an integrated cash flow model. Wit also served INEOS / Innovene as an Assistant Project Manager during the construction and startup phases of a Styrene Unit Upgrade Project. His responsibilities included monitoring and reporting costs, commitments and cash flow; forecasting overall project cost to complete. He reviewed and approved contractor’s invoices; performed a cost-benefit analysis to support and validate the team’s decision to accelerate the project schedule; monitored contractor progress and labor productivity utilizing Earned Value methodology; developed and customized reports for manpower and cash flow analysis; and assisted in the production of project monthly reports.

Wit provided project controls support on a number of projects for the Regional Express Bus and Sounder Commuter Rail programs. Projects that he worked on included transit facilities such as heavy rail corridor improvement, bus and rail stations, roads and inter-state highway improvements, park & rides / transit centers and multi-level parking garages. Wit was responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing CPM schedules for his assigned projects; budgeting, cost controlling and forecasting; assist project managers in monthly reporting and meetings.

Wit provided support to the company’s multiple concurrent construction projects at refineries in California, Texas and Washington States. His duties included developing resource loaded CPM schedules for bid/proposal and project management purposes utilizing Primavera software; setting up projects and baseline budgets in the financial/accounting system; managing charge codes and WBS; analyzing commitments and costs trends; coordinating routine updates of projects schedules; managing contract change processes, and preparing status reports. He was also contracted to serve as an Assistant Owner Project Controls Manager for BP Cherry Point Refinery (Blaine, WA) to coordinate budget, costs and schedule management efforts among multiple engineering firms, general contractors and subcontractors on a new $118 million isomerization unit (Clean Gasoline Project). Wit developed reporting procedures and customized costs and status reports, and developed a database using Microsoft Access to track job progress, quantities and labor efficiency.

Wit worked for SNC Lavalin Constructor, Inc. (formerly NEPCO, an Enron's subsidary company) on a number of power plant construction projects as Project Control Engineer.Wit was a 3-time recipient of Personnel Best Award. His duties included creating projects’ budget and control accounts from initial cost estimates, monitored expenditure and commitment allocations to ensure consistency and conformity to policy, prepared financial and project status reports on a regular and needed basis, and conducted project controls trainings to home office and field personnel. He also maintained and performed technical analysis on CPM schedule utilizing cost engineering techniques, tracked project progress on a quantity-based tracking software, and analyzed progress, costs and productivity trends and used Earned Value methodology to perform analysis. He coordinated with project team to prepared and performed cost and schedule “what-if” scenarios, and interfaced with key project personnel on all cost and schedule issues in all project stages.Notable projects included 820 MW Combined-cycle power plant ($346 million, Southaven, MS), 820 MW Combined-cycle power plant ($362 million, Caledonia, MS), 280 MW Combined-cycle power plant ($122 million, Boardman, OR), 40 MW and Process Steam cogeneration plant ($20 million, DOW Chemical, Seadrift, TX)
