Project to migrate 85% of the Department of Transportation IT infrastructure. Great project that followed project methodology which implemented with out negative impact or unexpected downtime. Keys to project success include building a high performing team, effective communications and ensuring a solid test plan. Infrastructure upgrades were completed during this migration including AIX operating systems, LPAR configurations, SAN attached storage migrations, Oracle, Sybase, Sybase IQ, Data Stage, Magic, custom built applications, as well as off the shelf applications which have been tailored to meet the needs of ODOT. Both test and the production environments have been upgraded, and migrated to new hardware.
