My wife, Dr. Angie, and I are optometrists in private practice since 1997. In addition to general eye care, she specializes in contact lenses, myopia management, and vision therapy, while my specialty is helping those with low vision see to do what they can no longer do.I am a fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists since 2006, and the founder of Midwest Low Vision. Although I see patients from all over the world, my satellite offices primarily serve south-central Indiana, south-eastern Illinois, northern Kentucky, and surrounding areas.

Low Vision OptometristMidwest Low Vision May 2006 - PresentBloomington, Indiana, UsA low vision evaluation with Dr. Long typically lasts around an hour and consists of measurements of vision with special charts and measurements of regular glasses prescription using highly accurate techniques. Once a patient's "wish list" or goals are established, special glasses and aids will be demonstrated before prescribing. This is to ensure that all needs are met to the patient's satisfaction. -
