My first professional love is Project Management. For the last several years I have been away from it selling Healthcare and Medicare insurance to retirees in a call center. I got some valuable experience working there: Educate retirees on the available options. Help them balance costs and benefits. Recommend an appropriate plan. Work in a heavily regulated industry. Interact with many different personalities, defuse angry confrontations, and establish rapport quickly. Multitask frequently while learning large quantities of new information quickly. Explain technical concepts concisely. Handle sensitive and protected information.I have a rich background in Project Management. I earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2002. I am an analytical problem solver who makes things happen. I can usually figure out what is wrong and fix it. When solving a problem I generally develop several alternatives then pick the one that seems like the best approach. I am steady and reliable. I show up on time and actually work while I am at work. I try to treat people the same regardless of their background and demographics. I am able to establish rapport quickly with most people. I try to resolve conflicts in ways that are acceptable to all concerned. I build consensus by seeking areas of agreement.I have worked primarily in software development projects.
