Shield-X™ Technology Inc. is working hard to put new technologies in the hands of athletes, first responders, and construction workers We are focused on working with existing manufacturers of athletic equipment and apparel to bring the Shield-X Technology and future technologies to consumers. At this time, Shield-X does not sell products directly to consumers. Shield-X product designs are aimed at providing enhanced helmet protection while minimizing the costs of adaptation by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to existing branded helmet designs. Using Shield-X's own proprietary test lab, developed at the Simon Fraser University, results show that Shield-X with BrainShield technology greatly reduces strain on the brain when rotational forces are applied. Testing using advanced accelerometers and gyroscopic sensors show that when a head form is impacted with rotational forces, helmets with Shield-X show significantly less impact to the brain.
