People always ask me, what are you passionate about? I am not passionate about any one thing but I am curious about everything…As a real estate credit writer I have structured more than $500 million in new loans. New deals require detailed research on real estate submarkets, project financials, and a compelling narrative for the risk adjudicators. As a commercial banker I helped clients grow their businesses. For some clients I was able to offer customized acquisition financing by understanding their complex financial models and overall corporate strategy. For other clients I was simply able to improve cash flow by recommending the right banking solutions. At Metrie I launched 3 new product types. To do so I interviewed customers, suppliers and internal staff to understand their needs. Then I integrated this feedback with the company’s operational constraints and overarching strategy. The launch plan I prepared was adopted by the Exec Team and rolled out across North America.Following undergrad I founded Ecocentric Carbon Management a business to help firms, understand, measure and reduce their environmental footprint. I was able to go into companies and distill their two or three largest environmental impacts. Working with their senior leadership we developed strategies to reduce emissions without hampering business growth.Throughout these varied experiences I have done two key things to succeed. I applied rigorous research and analysis to understand problems and I developed coherent strategies to solve them. The MBA gave me technical skills and real world experience has helped me refine them.
