I am an entrepreneurial leader who has built, led and served aspart of world-class, highly motivated engineering teams and successfulstartup technology companies. I lead customer-focused engineeringand product management teams to define, design and delivercapital-efficient, scalable software solutions that meet and exceedproject goals, requirements and do so on budget.I co-founded Solano Labs in 2011, recruited and built a lean teaminto a high-performance organization and negotiated the sale of thecompany to GE Digital in 2017. Solano Labs offered a High AvailabilityContinuous Integration and Delivery system and was an early partnerwith AWS on a number of software delivery products. Along the waywe built and patented Spotmark, a system for algorithmic buying ofcloud compute, and BX, a novel scale-out storage system for fast,cross-cloud read-mostly workloads (think: large simulations andcontainer image distribution).I began my career as one of the first ten employees at Data Domainwhere I was responsible for implementing the core randomizedalgorithms for the primary data path. After Data Domain, I followedthe CTO, Kai Li, to Princeton where I completed a PhD in ComputerScience. My thesis research focused on benchmarks and afilesystem implementation for high performance flash storage usingTPC-C traces on Oracle and pre-production FusionIO hardware. Mygraduate work included stints at Sun Microsystems and Oracle.I have also held a range of other roles in industry and government,including research and software engineering.

Responsible for the design, implementation, benchmarking, and performance tuning of the core randomized algorithms for a new backup storage system. Subsequently consulted on algorithmic problems and intellectual property issues. Data Domain was initially offered to the public in June 2007 and was bought by EMC in July 2009 at a valuation of $2.4 billion.
