This product was marketed as Phone in a Box through direct company stores and partnerships with convenience stores, grocery stores and other retail operations. Carolina Phone was sold to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.

Solo America was established as a virtual nationwide paging company, with a small team of equity partners, Solo America grew to one of the top 25 paging companies in America. Solo America was sold to Metrocall.

Dial Page grew from a local paging operator in Greenville, South Carolina to the 5th largest paging company in America with the highest average revenue per unit in the country and offices throughout the southeast. Dial Page had a successful IPO on Nasdaq. Dial Page also accumulated a dominant position in two-way radio spectrum that was ultimately sold to Nextel. The paging company was sold to Mobilemedia in a separate transaction.

USTelecenters was a nationwide distributor of small business telephone systems with offices throughout the country. The company was sold to Toshiba in late 1988.
